The Department of Agriculture at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FAFS) of the American University of Beirut (AUB), located in Beirut, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Digital Agriculture/Smart Farming. Appointments at higher ranks may be considered depending on qualifications. The Department of Agriculture is committed to promoting sustainable food production through cutting-edge research, education,  and  outreach.  The  department  is  looking  to  pursue  a  vigorous  research  agenda  for  digital  agriculture  (or Agriculture 4.0) through interdisciplinary collaborations with other departments and organizations in Lebanon and the region  that  will  transform agriculture  in  Lebanon  and  the  MENA  region
