The City of La Crosse is seeking to hire a full-time Civil Engineer I in the Engineering department. The purpose of this position is to survey, design, manage, and construct municipal civil engineering projects. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Deputy Director of Engineering & Public Works. Annual wage for this exempt position is $56,062.36 to $64,206.72, depending on qualifications (80 hours bi-weekly).

Requirements: Successful candidates shall have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of one-year civil engineering experience, including survey, design/drafting, and engineering related projects; or a technical vocational diploma in Civil Engineering and a minimum of six years of civil engineering experience, meeting requirements to sit for the Professional Engineer exam. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license required. Must be proficient in MS Office products. Experience with CAD/CAE is a plus.
