Full-Time Associate Professor (tenure-track), UB SDM – Biomaterials Graduate Program
The Biomaterials Graduate Program at the UB School of Dental Medicine is seeking an early or mid-career tenure-track Associate Professor who will be responsible for directing and teaching at least one of the program’s required core courses each semester, working with the school’s Director of Implantology and other faculty to initiate a program expansion into the area of oral implantology, mentoring the required Biomaterial Seminar course each semester, conducting research with students with the goal to establish an externally funded research program and peer-reviewed publications, mentoring M.S. students in the program and leading the M.S. graduate program in Biomaterials, which reports to the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences.
The mission of the School of Dental Medicine [SDM] is “Defining excellence in global health.” SDM and University at Buffalo [UB] have made substantial investments to further grow oral health research and training opportunities within the school. New investments have been made in infrastructure (Optical Imaging and Analysis Facility), new equipment, new dental operatories, and renovation of laboratory space and clinical space, particularly a new implant center and special needs clinics.
