The Department of Biology and Biomedical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning in the 2021-22 academic year. Candidates at higher rank will also be considered, with rank commensurate with qualifications.
The biomedical engineering program at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is among the highest-quality undergraduate-centered programs in the country. Preferred candidates will have a doctorate or near completion in biomedical engineering, engineering education, or another closely related field. Candidates with documented success in teaching, in both classroom and laboratory settings, as well as a proven commitment to improve themselves as a teacher and/or mentor are strongly preferred. While we encourage candidates in all fields of biomedical engineering to apply, experience in teaching and research in biomechanics and/or engineering design is preferred. The department and the Institute place a high value on engaging students from traditionally underrepresented groups, and candidates from these groups are especially encouraged to apply.
