We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Civil Engineers for our Phoenix office. The position will be providing Civil Engineering and related support to the Energy Group for their Solar Photovoltaic projects. The essential functions and responsibilities will be to perform engineering assignments and tasks, compile data, perform design computations (grading, drainage, estimations), support the preparation engineering CAD plans and construction details based on existing templates and mentor the civil EITs in the department. Works under Project Manager; receives specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected. This position will require an individual that is willing to perform a variety of tasks and work both independently and as part of a team. This position at times will assist the Project Team in technical meetings and correspondence with clients.
Civil Design of large scale utility solar plants throughout the Country. Ability to function as a project engineer and understand all aspects of design and plan production. Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates and project plans.
Self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team-oriented. Travel periodically and be physically capable of performing field work.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer or able to obtain in 6 months of hire
Five plus years of civil experience or related field
Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and earthwork modeling
Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
Must have solid skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling; organization; problem solving; and decision
Project Wise experience is a plus
Working Conditions and Environment:
This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally uses advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. A working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
