Walsh is seeking a Track Superintendent to oversee railway track construction on the CTA Red Purple Modernization project.

Reporting to the Track Project Manager, the Track Superintendent provides overall leadership for urban transit system trackwork construction. While doing so, the Track Superintendent oversees and manages all phases of railway track construction including coordinating labor, materials and equipment, supervising subcontractors, ensuring that specifications are being followed and that work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in meetings with client, subcontracted engineering firms, and suppliers
• Review project technical documents as delivered by engineering firms to ensure proposed technical solutions are competitive
• Perform in-depth review of drawings, designs, and contract documentation
• Working with the project team, develop process plans for all track operations, including equipment selection and procurement
• Plan and supervise all construction efforts in the field to ensure work is performed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
• Monitor quality standards of all work, including subcontractor performances
• Review weekly reports showing progresses made vs resources used and take any proper actions to ensure we meet our targets
• Monitor job schedules and coordinate subcontractors' work and suppliers' deliveries and equipment needs, taking appropriate action as necessary
• Ensure field personnel comply with project procedures, safety program, and work rules
