General Duties: The Public Works Director is responsible for the coordination and administration of all utilities and public works functions including planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the operation of the wastewater collection and disposal systems, water production and distribution systems, streets, parks, cemetery, and all City owned buildings. The newly appointed Public Works Director will work collaboratively with the City Engineer to update its inventory of street and alleyways for the Capital Plan and oversee two road and utility improvement projects in 2020. In 2021, the City of Crosby will work in conjunction with MnDOT to replace Highway 210/Main Street.
Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent training at a technical or vocational school with a focus on engineering, water and wastewater systems, construction, and maintenance or repair, five years of progressively responsible public works maintenance experience, and three years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or technical training in related field and seven years progressively responsible related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
