The Arkansas Kraft Division is a fully integrated pulp and paperboard mill utilizing both virgin Kraft pulp and recycled pulp in the manufacture of linerboard and medium. The mill has all of the processes associated with a virgin Kraft mill and equipment associated with the recycling of post-consumer fiber.
As an experienced Paper Machine Manager at the Arkansas Kraft Division, you will have operating responsibility to optimize the profitability, quality, safety, and productivity of the paper machines and crews. From a strategic business perspective, you will focus on a steadfast commitment to safety and environmental stewardship, communicating and reinforcing the Mill’s running objectives as well as sustaining the highest operational quality and productivity levels. In this role, you will partner with maintenance to support the management of asset quality, ensuring the manufacturing reliability of equipment focusing on reducing and minimizing process downtime while implementing preventative maintenance on the machines. As a key leader, you will leverage participative management skills, such as safety preventative measures, incident investigation, and RCFA. From a people perspective, you will provide strong leadership through the implementation of safe work practices, championing new ideas, learning from events, communicating with the team, and developing an empowered, highly motivated operational team.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
At least 12 years of progressively responsible technical and leadership experience in the paper industry, gained though process engineering and/or roles as a Tour Foreman or Paper Machine Manager.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
Strong leadership capabilities in the areas of developing others, resolving conflict, and communication.
The demonstrated ability to troubleshoot major machine problems as well as partner with other areas to achieve the vision, mission, and operational results of the organization.
