The General Manager shall be responsible for managing all aspects of the subsidiary in the aggressive and successful growth of the company. Maintain and enhance the existing working culture of an engineering design firm and successfully balance this with the culture and requirements of the Parent company.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the profitability of the operational subsidiary.
Supervise and direct a staff consisting of senior-level engineers, finance, and administrative personnel.
Monitor customer satisfaction through routine personal interaction with customers, subcontractors and program managers.
Analyze monthly and fiscal year-to-date budget versus actual revenue and profit performance by contract, with the applicable Division leads.
Assign specific performance revenue and profit targets to divisions.
Reviews Operational Performance and completes performance appraisal process for all Division Directorate's/V.P.'s on specific performance against pre-determined revenue, profit and customer satisfaction and employee career development goals.
Works with Chenega’s support services to ensure that adequate support is provided to the Divisions to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
Prepares the annual budget.
Shall serve as GTP’s Registered Agent for the firm’s numerous Certificates of Engineering
Responsible for the firm’s engineering activities and act as the Certificate of Authorization (COA) representative
Acts as the initial lead for all divisions bid and proposal activities, as well as identifying and closing contract renewal opportunities.
Ensure programs and proposals are within scope, cost, and schedule requirements are in balance.
Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values established by COO and BOD.
Drive the company to achieve profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
Support the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external.
Provides timely, accurate and complete delegated reports on the operating condition of the Company.
Development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
Motivate and lead a high-performance team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the team not currently in place.
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Represent the Company with major customers, business partners and the public.
Manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise employee(s); is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
Perform travel in support of business objectives as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction management discipline
Master of Business Administration Preferred
Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) License
Minimum twenty (20) years of demonstrated progressive experience leading businesses in the commercial or DoD Fuels and Industrial/Private market sectors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to maintain and enhance the existing working culture of an engineering design firm and successfully balance this with the culture and requirements of the Parent company
Ability to provide COA services in all states in which Engineering services are performed
Experience with Business Development, Business Unit Operations, Program Management, and Operations
Proven ability in developing self-perform capabilities in multiple disciplines
Ability to collect data, analyze data, and present information to the leadership teams
Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Efficient time management skills and ability to work independently and prioritize work.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
International and domestic business management experience Preferred
