The City of Laconia, located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is seeking an individual for the position of Assistant Director of Public Works/City Engineer to direct the activities of the engineering division and to assist the Director in the supervision and administration of all divisions of the Public Works Department, including operation and maintenance of City’s highway, storm sewer, sanitary sewer systems, and solid waste services.
A thorough knowledge of modern methods and techniques of civil engineering as applied to the design, construction and maintenance of a City’s public infrastructure is required. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, plus eight years of progressively responsible experience in the field of civil engineering, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity OR any equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered Professional Engineer preferred
