Huitt-Zollars' Dallas, Texas office has an immediate full-time opportunity for two Highway Design Engineers (EIT) to assist Project Managers in design of multiple public and private transportation projects throughout Texas. Candidates should have previous civil engineering experience in transportation and major highway design experience.
Produce designs and schematics for multiple freeway and major highway projects throughout Texas under supervision of the Project Manager, PE
Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make corrections to drawings as requested by project manager
Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as needed
Interface with TxDOT, Toll Road Authorities, cities and counties regarding projects if needed
Attend project meetings and prepare graphic materials for presentations and/or documents
Works collaboratively in a team environment with engineers and architects for timely project completion
Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
Minimum 2 years of transportation engineering experience on major roadways throughout Texas
Proficient in Microstation, GeoPak and AutoCAD Civil 3D
TxDOT experience and TxDOT precertification in Major and Complex Highway design preferred
