Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure currently has a summer Water Resources Engineering internship in the Denver, CO office.
Key Responsibilities •Will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer supporting our hydraulics and hydrology group •Will support transportation engineering, drainage engineering and floodplain management work •Will perform surface water hydrologic and hydraulic modeling utilizing HY-8, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS software extensions •Convey results and findings by means of oral discussions, graphic-based presentations, and project documentation
Skills / Qualifications •Current undergraduate (minimum Junior level) or graduate student in good standing working towards a degree in Civil / Water Resources Engineering or closely related field within an accredited program •Experience using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8 software is a plus •Experience using ArcGIS is a plus •Experience with Microstation / Geopak and / or AutoCAD a plus •Excellent oral and written English communication skills preferred •Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills •Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment •Must pass drug test and background check
