HBC Engineering has two immediate openings for dynamic, energetic, highly motivated Traffic Engineers to work from our Miami, Florida office. Each of the two jobs emphasizes innovation, efficiency and quality of work, and effective communications. HBC Engineering has a diverse workload, involving traditional traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems, and data analytics.
The ideal candidate for one of the two positions must have command of MUTCD, HCM, HSM, and AASHTO standards. Software skills include HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Excel, and other traffic related.
The primary role of one of the two positions is to provide safety and operational analysis to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and Project Manager.
The applicant should have a strong attention to detail, ability to think creatively, and be able to work independently as well. Experience with:
- Highway Safety Manual (HSM) and database development will be a plus;
- Micro-simulation software such as CORSIM or VISSIM will be a plus.
Prior work experience of 2-4 years is desirable. Florida PE license or ability to obtain PE within 1 year is desirable. Consideration may be given to self–motivated candidates.
