The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Bucknell University seeks applicants for a one-year visiting assistant professor position starting in August 2017. This position is available as a result of sabbatical leave replacement, with possible reappointment pending Administrative approval. The application materials of successful candidates will:
- Articulate their plans to provide outstanding classroom and laboratory instruction in core structural engineering and mechanics courses.
- Describe how he or she will be able to contribute more broadly to the civil engineering curriculum by teaching a foundation engineering course, material science course, or other common civil engineering courses, such as numerical methods or graphics
- Describe how he or she will be able to work successfully with a diverse student body.
At time of appointment, candidates are expected to have an earned doctorate or be ABD in civil engineering or a closely-related engineering field.
