Quality Engineer Purpose :
Utilize knowledge and skills in quality management process, quality documentation, and global quality certification requirements to address product quality issues internally with manufacturing and externally with suppliers to meet needs of customers.
Support the Quality & EHS Management system.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the Quality System
Lead, monitor and audit continuous quality process improvement activities
Develop training and communication to build quality awareness
Responsible for manufacturing resolution of customer quality issues
Conduct root cause analysis, determine corrective action, and implement preventative action for process related concerns
Train manufacturing and quality associates in quality tools including PPAP, ISO/TS16949, Six Sigma Green Belt
Determine appropriate statistical and sampling methods to assure process control
Implement control processes and establish documentation and audit process
Participate in company-wide corrective action initiatives
Conduct, document, and follow-up on PFMEA, zero defect audits, and hidden factors analysis
Responsible for PPAP generation on time without any customer concerns participate in revised/new product launches
Lead quality interface to define and implement effective process controls to assure quality through process checks and documentation
Support Quality Technicians to ensure products and processes comply with requirements of quality management system
Conduct internal/external audits, close out audit findings, create audit finding reports, and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
A Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Strong team player
ASQ CQE strongly desirable
Strong computer, written and verbal skills are required.
An understanding of Metrology and GD&T
ISO 9001/TS 19649 or equivalent experience
Extensive Knowledge of Quality tools: FMEA, Six Sigma tools, Control Plans, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, etc.
EHS systems (ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001) knowledge is a plus
