The overriding mission for Engineering Response Team (ERT) is to protect the work week schedule and address emergent issues to minimize the impact on engineering core business.
Major Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Civil/Structural ERT Engineer will provide technical expertise in design and installation support for various modifications in the plant.
ERT engineer will provide maintenance with simple trouble shooting support and lead complex troubleshooting activities with maintenance and operations support.
Support maintenance and planning by resolving engineering technical issues within the work management process, this includes resolving work order holds assigned to engineering.
Develop excavation permits and plant barrier impairments.
Provide rigging support by evaluating lifting points, evaluate heavy load paths, evaluate and approve nonstandard scaffold requests.
Individual will support the Maintenance Department with rigging activities and perform plant walk downs as required to assess structural components.
Required to support outage engineering and participate in the Emergency Response Organization.
The successful candidate will also perform other assigned duties as determined by the Hope Creek Emergent Response Team Branch Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for balancing work time to accomplish assigned tasks.
BS Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related degree with 0-10 years performing Engineering work in a nuclear or related industry.
Available for Shift Work during plant outages and generation challenges.
Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
5-10 years industry experience.
SRO license/certification or MS Degree or PE License.
(This position consists of multiple grade levels. The title and market reference point assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience from the interview process.)
