The City of Topeka is seeking a professional Traffic Engineer to manage safe and efficient traffic flow movement, perform general traffic planning, design traffic control devices, direct traffic studies, evaluate the effectiveness of traffic control measures and work with other local governmental agencies to coordinate traffic management.
Annual entry salary up to $90,405 DOQ

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field and registration as a Professional Engineer either in the State of KS or with the ability to obtain KS reciprocity within six months of hire date. Must also have at least five years of post-professional registration experience in traffic engineering and two years of supervisory experience. Must possess and maintain a valid class C Kansas driver’s license or obtain within six months of hire; must possess and maintain a city insurable driving record.
