Manage a team of Plant Technicians and Field Techs to safeguard liabilities against the company. Establish a working relationship with contractors supplying information of proper procedures, project mix designs and submittals to satisfy Architect/Engineers request. Organize an efficient procedure to sampling aggregates each day to provide representative data for production. Supervise scheduling of breaks to prepare up to date standard deviations. Maintain necessary certifications through the different government (PWD, PENNDOT, etc...) Work with PENNDOT to properly maintain and create mixes according to the 408.
Testing Fineness Modules of fine aggregates (Sand) prior to production.
Established quality control procedures to ensure concrete produced meets the purchaser’s requirements.
Monitor quality of concrete produced to minimize the chance of delivering concrete that does not meet the purchaser’s requirements.
Follow procedures to troubleshoot concrete problems delivered to the purchaser to help identify the cause of the problem.
Keeping updated with proper Certifications is another must for the good Manager. Certifications not only give enhanced credentials, but they also help instill the confidence to perform his or herjob.
A good technician is well versed in his company’s concrete mixes and proportions, but more importantly, in the interactions of the different combinations of local materials.
They are also able to make air-entraining admixture dosage rate adjustments to air-entrained mixes when the need arises.
Have familiarity with the batching sequence to help with non-uniform mixing, air content issues or yield problems.
Involved in the state certification program.

Able convey information to customers in a sales/educational demeanor.
Understand, ASTM C94, Specification for Ready-Mixed Concrete
Know requirements for acceptance and rejection of fresh and hardened concrete stated in ACI standards.
A strong working relationship with the concrete contractor is extremely important.
QC manager will conduct investigations on necessary projects.
Adjust loads in the Field
Follow-up with QGOSM lieu of conformity certificate, calibration certificates and plant calibration certificates from other agency.
Review Daily Inspection Report and issuance of observation or NCR (Nonconformity Report) according to concerned department.
Prepare draft copy of Mix Designs to any external organization to be approved by QA/QC Technical Manager.
Follow-up internal, external corrective and preventive action(s) and ensure the effectiveness, well documented in standard format report.
Review daily Field Inspection Report and do the necessary action.
Deal with the customer complaints on a day-to-day basis.
Review mix design approved by QA/QC Technical Manager and report any comment(s) before implementation of actual trial mix.
Review running mix designs in compliance with client requirements in terms of strength, durability, permeability, workability.
Supervise monthly internal calibration and uniformity test for each batching plant unit.
Prepare analysis report for compressive test result and durability for internal and external specimens.
Ensure real implementation of QA/QC plan and related inspection activities as well as reported in standard format.
Report to QA/QC Technical Manager trial mix results for new source of materials or any compliance trials.
Ensure providing concrete mix to customer same as approved one (1) and have a copy of approval mixes.
Distribute the manpower according to work priority.
Ensure qualification of staff and provide necessary training or support.
Supervise the lab/site, checkpoint technicians, unskilled labors and provide performance appraisal to the QQ/QC Technical Manager.
Site troubleshooting and perform any work that may be assigned by QA/QC Technical Manager.
