SUMMARY Provost & Pritchard is seeking a highly-motivated Senior or Principal Engineer with experience managing projects and working with clients or project stakeholders to join our Chico office.

The qualified Senior or Principal Engineer candidate should have a strong technical expertise and ability to manage his/her own projects with minimal supervision, and direct others on project work. Experience with client relations and business development is a plus as we desire someone that can help generate new opportunities in the area.
Develop and maintain client contact before, during, and after project completion Cultivate client relationships through organizational involvement and by direct contract Oversee project work including other engineers, technicians and administrative staff Assist in mentoring and training Associate Engineers and others in area of expertise Effectively directs projects from planning through to completion Preparation of project plans, reports or feasibility studies in area of expertise
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BS or MS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Appropriate work experience may substitute for formal schooling. Minimum of five years working as a licensed engineer.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required;
Ability to take initiative to solve problems and find creative solutions;
Demonstrated reasoning skills;
Must be able to handle increasing levels of responsibility and project complexity;
Proven ability to write technical information using appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling for concise reader-friendliness and clarity;
Involvement with professional societies, and community-based organizations, contributions to technical journals, and presentation of training seminars both in-house and at professional meetings are all encouraged;
Understand and be experienced with regulatory compliance issues as they relate to design specialty areas.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid California Drivers License and available transportation. CA Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
