The Project Manager serves in the Code Planning & Cross Connection Unit of the Regulatory Services Division with the primary responsibility to review building and facilities plumbing and gasfitting project designs, including water, sewer, and gasfitting services along with providing code interpretation expertise during the design and construction phases. The Project Manager will serve as lead reviewer of all Regulatory Services Developer-Built engineering designs, including providing water meter hydraulic sizing guidance regarding the designs. May be responsible to lead and coordinate WSSC efforts on high profile and complex projects. Incumbent is expected to develop the capacity to perform a wide range of review functions in the planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering, or related field; • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, including reading plans with profiles, design work, design review, constructability review, and plumbing/gasfitting or mechanical/construction; • Two (2) years of experience in prioritizing, tracking and coordinating multiple projects.
• Completion of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Financial Disclosure statement within 30 days of employment and annually; • Experience working with customers, clients, or the general public.
