Dibble Engineering is looking for a skillful and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Water Team in Phoenix, AZ. This is an opportunity for you to join our fine group of respected professionals. This role may work in either the main Phoenix office or the West Valley Goodyear office.
This role of Project Engineer (DRAINAGE / WATER / WASTEWATER) is responsible for the overall management of project(s). He/She will be accountable for project performance, ensuring quality control on deliverables, and maintaining client relationships in addition to actively pursuing Marketing and Business Development opportunities.
Participate in the execution of Company strategic initiatives.
Represent the Company at industry events and conferences.
Participate in new project interviews.
Prepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules and fee proposals.
Assemble project teams (sub-consultants, internal staff) for pursuits.
Set up accounting and budget tracking for new projects.
Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets.
Coordinate all aspects of project life cycle, including: clients/owners, design teams, internal staff and all other necessary resources.
Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control for project deliverables.
Provide clarification and direction to technical staff on project issues and general engineering principles.
Prepare project billing/invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of payment.
Evaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvement.
Actively participate in the career development of staff.

He/She will have the ability to manage complex and high value projects, manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality of effectiveness, make sound decisions for the benefit of the project and the Company, and be able to consistently meet project deadlines while always maintaining a high level of quality. This candidate will also have proven negotiating skills with the ability to successfully negotiate acceptable contracts, effectively communicate to all levels of the project team including technicians, engineers, sub-consultants, and clients.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of engineering principles including drainage studies, drainage master planning, and the creation of construction documents.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer in Arizona.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Project Management.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Civil3D.
Minimum 2 years of experience with ArcGIS.
Must have experience in a variety of hydrologic programs including DDMSW, HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and FLO-2D amongst others.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
